Claudette Woods

With loving hearts, we honor and celebrate the life of Billie Claudette Woods. Her boundless compassion and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of truly knowing her. From her birth on February 18, 1935, in Springville, Utah, to her return to Heavenly Father on June 26, 2025, Claudette exemplified the qualities that defined her: kindness, faithfulness, and resilience. Her life was a living testament to her faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Claudette was the middle child of three, born to Claude and Dellna Hill. She married the love of her life, William R. Woods, on August 21, 1953, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 12, 1967. Together, they raised four children.

During her school years, Claudette explored music, playing both the cello and violin. At 14, she discovered a deep passion for art, which blossomed into a love for fashion and eventually led her to a successful career in the fashion industry. She even owned a clothing store, though it saddened her to close it before embarking on a new adventure with her husband to South Korea. There, they spent five years, during which she taught conversational English. Upon returning to their home in Springlake, Claudette’s love for art remained a constant in her life, one she devoted herself to up until her passing.

Claudette is survived by her brother, Mel (Vivian) Hill; her four children: David (Evon) Woods, Vicky (Garth) Tidwell, Bruce (Shauna) Woods, and Mark (Michele) Woods; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Woods; her parents, Claude and Dellna Hill; her sister, Barbara Stumm; and many other loved ones who are waiting for her on the other side.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary, located at 96 North 100 West, Mount Pleasant, Utah. A viewing will take place beforehand, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Graveside services will follow at Salem Cemetery.
