Listen to Obituary

Carma Olsen Davidson, 94, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 22, 2026 surrounded by an abundance of love and care by the family and friends that meant so much to her throughout her life. Carma was born May 7, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah (in her parents’ front room!) to Iva and Ernest Olsen. She married Don L. Davidson February 19, 1949. Carma was 17 years old and still in high school when they married. They moved to Salt Lake for Don to work. Carma enrolled in high school and graduated from Granite High School.

Carma worked in a bakery making and selling pastries in her younger years, then Skaggs where she enjoyed getting out of the house sometimes, but most of all, she loved working at Camperworld. Don and Carma began managing Camperworld in 1989 and she continued into her 80’s. She made a lot of friends because she was passionate about making sure the members had the very best stay possible. Being familiar with the area, she could direct them around to various sites and trails to explore. By working there, she and Don created many jobs for the family and opportunities for everyone to grow closer. They would frequently host events, holiday parties and gatherings to bring the family together. Even while working there (a very demanding job) she made the time to help and even raise her grandchildren. It was "a teenager’s dream!" to live with Carma and Don.

Carma was truly a remarkable woman whose life was devoted to helping and caring for others. Her authenticity allowed her to love deeply, listen carefully and always be there if someone needed a helping hand. She was grateful for the opportunity and never complained. She enjoyed crocheting, she could sometimes be found in the back room tying a quilt, she loved to read and she loved cookies and Sandi's clam chowder soup!

Last year, Carma decided that she wanted to make it to the temple “while still on this side”. She was thrilled and deeply grateful when the time came to take out her own endowment and be sealed to her family. April 11, 2026 was a special and sacred experience for her. She looked forward to the blessings and promises to be with her family forever. Carma leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, service and love. We will strive to carry on her legacy as she has taught us so well. The lives of her family and friends are better because she was in them. She will be remembered by her gentle unbiased demeanor, her fun witty remarks and her wise words of wisdom. We love you so much and you will live on in our hearts forever!

Carma is survived by her children Marilyn Davidson and Rana Keirce; grandkids Roy Don Hutcheson, Jackie Hendrickson, Ricki Amicone, Terra Antczak, Christopher Swank, Teena Burns, Tiffany Dykes, Beau Davidson, Preston Aro, Randy Davidson, Brandon Keirce, Kimber Keirce; sisters Sharlene (Morris) Mower and Sandra (Gary) Hendry; brother-in-law Gordon Bailey and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Don Davidson; children Gwendolyn (Benny) Hutcheson, Lori Swank, Scott Davidson, Marian (Daniel) Aro; granddaughter Cody Toombs; siblings Fern (Pete) McDaniel, Ardath (Clark) Haynes, Lloyd (Beulah) Olsen, Blain (Jean) Olsen, and Pamela Bailey.

Carma’s family will be holding a private family graveside.
