Corey Fredrick Jackman

October 11, 1961 — April 12, 2022

10/11/1961 ~ 4/12/2022

Corey Fredrick Jackman passed away suddenly of a heart attack on April 12, 2022, while helping his son, Josh, get cows ready for the auction. He was born to Arley and Marie Jackman on October 11, 1961. He graduated from North Sanpete High School in 1979. He grew up farming, raising cattle, horses, and keeping his mother very busy patching his jeans and replacing his leg casts which he had to wear due to a childhood diagnosis of Perthes Disease. He was always proud that he taught himself to run and never let his abilities be limited, despite the full length leg casts that went up above his pelvis. This work ethic would stick with him throughout his life and be passed on to his children. After high school he worked at Deer Creek coal mine for several years where he earned many awards. He made life-long friends and picked up the title “Over-time King”. After that he ran cows and a top soil business. He and his father, Arley, were very close. He helped his father every chance he got and loved being with him. Corey and his sons spent summers with Arley down on the Seely Ranch where he taught them to work and run equipment at a very young age. Corey’s kids followed his example and were always there to help their dad whenever he needed them. Corey married Wendy Kay Sevy on January 21, 1982, and together they had six children. They divorced in 1993. In 1994, he was kicked in the head by a horse. This nearly killed him and significantly impacted the remainder of his life. He married Connie Gahley in 1995. Their blended family totaled 13 children. The tragedy of Connie’s girls’, Stacy and Trina, death in 2001 was a huge blow. They divorced in 2005. On November 5, 2005, he married his high school sweetheart, Suzette Allred, and together they had two daughters. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple on November 28, 2015. They divorced in 2021. He loved and mentored all of his children: Travis Jackman (Liz), Robyn Carlson (Kyle), Josh Jackman (Kari), Jason Jackman (Cassie), Casey Jackman (Crystal), Tyler Jackman (Charity), Kayley Memmott (Tyrell), Breanna Jackman, and Loretta Jackman. These children have given him 23 grandchildren. He was happiest when spending time with his family. Corey was preceded in death by his parents, Arley and Marie; brothers: David, Ronald, and Ricky; and sister, Bernetta. He is survived by his brother, George.
