Delina Ann Syndergaard

Delina (Dee) Syndergaard, 80, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, in San Marcos, California. Dee was born on August 16, 1945, in Vallejo, California, and spent much of her life in Sacramento, California, where she built a home filled with family and memories. She spent the last 20 years living in Lincoln, California.

She was married to Gary Syndergaard, and together they shared a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. Dee was a devoted mother to her two children, Todd Syndergaard (Jennifer Syndergaard) and Tracie Melius (Scott Melius), and a proud grandmother to Lindsie Melius, Jesse Syndergaard, Daniel Syndergaard, Elaura Almanza and, Brett Syndergaard, who brought her endless joy.

Dee will be remembered for her love of family and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of care, resilience, and the many moments shared with those she loved most.

A funeral service honoring Dee’s life will be held on January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6925 Havenhurst Drive Sacramento, CA 95831. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life. Dee will be laid to rest Friday January 30, 3036 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
