EllaDene Deelstra Siler (Memmott), the eldest female resident of Scipio, Utah, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 98, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Born and raised in Scipio, EllaDene spent her childhood in the community she would always call home. As a young woman, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she lovingly raised her family. Later in life, her adventurous spirit led her to Alaska, where she made her home for 25 years before returning to her beloved hometown of Scipio.

EllaDene was a woman of remarkable talent and creativity. She found great joy in knitting, needlepoint, and embroidery, creating beautiful handmade treasures that brought comfort, warmth, and lasting memories to family and friends. Her skilled hands and generous heart touched the lives of many.

She is survived by her eldest son, Larry, and her daughters, Margaret, Pamela (Geoff), Wendy, and LuAnn (Bruce), who will forever treasure her love, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Survived by sister Cheryl and brother Sam, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 7great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents LeVoy and Ella Memmott, her sister LaVern, her brother Crae, husbands Philip and Ross, and sons, Richard, Rodney, Alan, and Craig.

EllaDene's life was one of resilience, love, and quiet grace. She leaves behind a legacy woven through the lives of her children, grandchildren, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be forever cherished, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday July 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Scipio Town Cemetery. Visiting time prior to graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Scipio Town Cemetery.
