Farrell Vaughn Larson

Farrell Vaughn Larson, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in Fillmore, UT after a short battle with cancer. Farrell was born in Highland, UT on January 26,1948, the third son of Merlin and Marie Larson. As a boy, he enjoyed roaming through Highland and working on the family farm. He graduated from American Fork High School and then served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Mission. 

Farrell married Irene Croft in 1969 and together they had five children: Loney, Aironn, Ryan, Sunnie, and Oliver. The family made their home in American Fork. The couple later divorced. Farrell was a farmer and entrepreneur. He owned many businesses over his lifetime–from sod farms to rock quarries and trucking businesses to family farms. He could see potential in things around him others may not see and was not afraid of taking big risks to achieve a goal. During his later years, he retired to Meadow, UT to be closer to family.

Farrell was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and took service to heart. He spent many hours helping those in the community that may be struggling. A skilled handyman, Farrell’s work can be seen in many homes in the Meadow community.

Farrell is survived by his children: Loney (Amanda) Larson; Aironn (Gary) Bishop; Ryan (Kristie) Larson;  Sunnie (Brandon) Streadbeck; ,and Oliver (Ashley) Larson; his siblings: Gerald (Ky) Larson; Michael Larson; and Karen Watson. Farrell is also survived by 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Beth Larson; brother-in-law, Wayne Watson; and grandson, Logan Bishop. 

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 am the Meadow Cemetery located at 2250 West 4400 South, Fillmore, UT.
