Glennis Monson

Glennis Monson passed away with family by her side on Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Spring City Utah. She was 73 years old and the mother of five wonderful children!

Glennis was born on January 5, 1951 in Elko, Nevada, the daughter of Robert and Elaine Jones. She was raised in Sparks Nevada, Garden Grove California, and Redmond Washington. She graduated from Redmond High School in 1969.

She met her eternal sweetheart Stuart Raymond Monson at a church activity for young single adults. They were married on August 22, 1970 in the Oakland, California Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Glennis enjoyed gardening, crocheting, camping, singing, painting, and serving in her church callings, especially in the Primary. She also loved worshiping in the temple. She met her many challenges in life with unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elaine Jones, her brother Dale Jones, and her sister Susan Jensen.

She is survived by her husband, Stuart Monson and her five children: Cristy Henderson, Jeff Monson, Rita Albrethsen, Monica Ludlow, and Mark Monson. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Her viewing will be held on November 9th, 2024 at 9am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wales, Utah (92 S 200 W, Wales, UT). The funeral services will follow at 11am at the same location. Graveside services will be held at the Spring City Cemetery (W 14320 N, Spring City, UT).
