Helen Lucille Elsey

Helen Llewelyn Elsey, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Springville, Utah, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 4, 1940, in Fountain Green, Utah, Helen was the youngest of five children and grew up in a close-knit community that shaped her gentle spirit and enduring resilience.

Helen’s life was marked by quiet strength, creativity, and devotion to family., She was a thoughtful homemaker, and a gifted gardener who found joy in nurturing both plants and people.

She met her sweetheart, Ken Elsey, shortly after he returned from his church mission in Australia. They were married on August 18, 1961.  Together, they raised two children: Kim Elsey of Moraga, California, and Tami Steers of Mesa, Arizona. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother, known for her warm hugs, homemade cinnamon rolls, and unwavering support.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Helen served faithfully in many callings and quietly exemplified Christlike love in her daily life. Her kindness, humility, and gentle wisdom touched the lives of all who knew her.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ken; her children, Kim and Tami; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, whose memories she carried tenderly throughout her life.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 151 S 200 W Fountain Green, UT 84632.

A viewing will precede the service at 9:30am.   Interment will follow at the Fountain Green Cemetery.

Helen’s legacy of love, faith, and grace will continue to live on in the hearts of those she cherished.
