James Kelton White

James Kelton White, 82 of Kanosh, UT passed to the other side of the veil on May 28, 2022 in Kanosh, UT. 

Jim was born December 1, 1939 to John Kelton and Ethel Paxton White in Kanosh, UT.  He graduated from Millard High School and attended College of Southern Utah in Cedar City, UT and later attended University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT.

Jim married Sandra Jean McBride on September 15, 1961 in Las Vegas, NV and later solemnized their marriage in the Manti LDS Temple on December 11, 1965. 

He was a devoted husband, loving father, and adored grandfather and great grandfather. He was a faithful and righteous member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings throughout his life including High Council, Bishopric, Bishop, Seminary Teacher and Sunday School Teacher and many others that came along throughout his life. Jim and Sandra served a mission at the Bishop’s Store House in Fillmore, UT, loving and serving those in the community.

Jim’s professional career spanned nearly 30 years as an electrical engineer with AT&T and he began a second career as a Farmers Insurance Agent with Sandra by his side, before finally retiring for good.  Jim enjoyed spending time reading anything and everything about church history and gospel teachings, and he loved spending time with his family. His entire life was devoted to his family and he always showed a sincere love and interest in everything they did.

Jim was dad to two sons, but always smiled when children of his large extended family greeted him with a loving “Hi, Uncle Jim!”  He is survived by his sons, Jan Kelton (Dayna) White, Santaquin, UT; Spencer White, Morgan Hill, CA; grandchildren, Justin White, Logan (McKenna) White, Hunter White, Paige (Brady) Stahle, Branden White; great granddaughter, Piper White, and his sister, Genevieve Prows. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra, his parents, and sister, Shanna Lee White. 

Graveside service will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:00am at the Kanosh Town Cemetery with a gathering time at 10:30 a.m. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com
