Jean Draper

Jean Draper, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on June 24, 1939, in Ontario, Oregon, Jean was the daughter of Leonard and Vivian Stowell. She grew up in that region with her four siblings before moving to Utah, where she met her late husband, Ted Draper. Together, they built a life centered around their family and raised ten children: Kerry (Cheri), Debbie, Lauri (Ben), Yvette (Roy), Timothy (Jackie), Stephen, Teddii, Candace, Darla (Jeff), and Andrew (Leah).

Beyond her children, Jean was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom filled her life with immense joy.

Jean cherished spending quality time with her family. Whether it was cooking, camping, sewing, or playing cards, she found happiness in the simple moments shared with those she loved.

She also enjoyed drawing portraits and sharing stories of her life. Additionally, she cherished her time with her many friends who shared her Bible-based beliefs, particularly the hope of a resurrection to a restored paradise earth.

Jean will be remembered for her warm hospitality, pleasant personality, and wonderful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside service for Jean Draper will be Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1:00pm at Vernal Memorial Park (1750 South 500 East). Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:30am ~ 12:30pm at Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
