Jeanette E Yardley Burton passed away March 15, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband and sons.
She was born Feb. 23, 1951, in Gunnison, UT; to Howard and Mary Thompson Yardley.
She married David Burton December 13th 1969, and made their home in Mount Pleasant Utah.
Jeanette worked at Utah Sportswear and Pyke Manufacturing. After Pyke’s closed, she formed her own cleaning company hiring local women to help clean homes and offices.
She later completed her degree at Snow College and began working there in the Records and Admission Office. She loved working with people and helping students to find their way to fulfill their graduation requirements.
Jeanette was an excellent seamstress making blue jeans, western shirts and many other items. She also made the most beautiful quilts, Afghans and baby blankets. She devoted countless hours of her free time sewing for the North Sanpete Humanitarian organization.
Jeanette was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also loved serving as an ordinance worker at the Manti Utah Temple.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, David, and sons, Ken (Erik) and Ryan (Angie); a sister, Phyllis Yardley; and three brothers, Mel (Debbie) Yardley, Michael Yardley and Kevin Yardley. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
Viewings will be held from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, March 27, at Rasmussen Mortuary, 96 North 100 West, Mt. Pleasant; and from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Monday, March 28, at the Mt. Pleasant Second LDS Ward, 295 South State Street, prior to services at the church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 28, at the Mt. Pleasant Second LDS Ward, 295 South State Street. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.  
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to North Sanpete Humanitarian at the Mt. Pleasant branch of Cache Valley Bank. 435-462-2457
