Jerrold Weston Warner

Jerrold (Jerry) Weston Warner graduated from this life on Monday, July 20, 2026 in Delta, Utah. Born on Labor Day, September 4, 1931, in Huntington Park, CA to Loren Edward and Virginia Eliza Koford Warner. Jerry was the oldest of three very active brothers, Jim and Dave.

The family moved to Mackay, Idaho shortly after Jim was born, during the great depression and lived for a few years before moving to Fillmore just before Dave was born.

Jerry grew up in Fillmore with his brothers, cousins and friends. Getting into mischief that only little boys can think of while forming unbreakable bonds between with each other.

Jerry was involved in a very serious farming accident at the beginning of 7th grade where he missed a whole year of school and ended up making up 2 years of school in one year when he returned. Jerry joined the Utah National Guard at 17 and graduated from Millard High School as the Senior class president. He went on to study at Utah State College, Southern Branch (now SUU) where he was in ROTC and transferred to the Cedar City Utah National Guard unit since Jim was in the Fillmore National Guard unit and both wanted to fight in the Korean conflict.

He served in the Korean conflict with his brother, Jim and all of his friends from Fillmore, Beaver and Cedar City. They formed the 213th Field Artillery Battalion that later made history for having no fatalities. This was attributed to the fact that the boys had grown up together, forming those bonds, and watched out for each other as only brothers and lifelong friends can. Those friendships continued past the war.

After being discharged from the National Guard, he and Jim both chose to serve missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They served at the same time, Jim in the Southern States mission, where their father had served, and Jerry in the Johannesburg, South Africa mission. Upon returning from his mission, Jerry enrolled in the University of Utah School of Pharmacy.

Prior to his mission, Jerry met Louise Bond in Meadow, UT. They went to Jerry's mission farewell party together. After returning from his mission, they reunited at a dance in Meadow and began dating. They were married on December 23, 1954 in the Manti Temple, while Jerry was out of school for Christmas break. The couple lived in Salt Lake City while Jerry finished Pharmacy school and were joined by their oldest son, Weston. After earning his Registered Pharmacist degree, Jerry accepted a job in Fillmore from Chester Baker at Baker Drug, where he worked full time and then part time until he was 82 years old. The remaining Warner children, John, Suzan and Leslie joined the family in Fillmore.

Jerry served in many callings while in Fillmore; ward and stake young men's leader, stake high councilor and bishop of the Fillmore 3rd Ward. He spearheaded the sidewalk project in Fillmore and spent a lot of time "supervising" the many building projects around town. He spent countless hours working on genealogy and family histories. He knew the genealogy of most of the citizens of Fillmore and enjoyed going to the cemetery on Memorial Day with his grandkids to visit with the families of friends and relatives who had gone on before.

Jerry lived the final years of his life at the Millard County Care and Rehab facility with his wife Louise, always wishing to return home to Fillmore.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Louise, his parents, his brothers, Jim and Dave, Dave's wife Jolene, Louise's brothers Junior and Terrill Bond, Terrill's wife Iris and many good friends. Survived by his children, Weston and Vikki Warner, John and Jamie Warner, Suzan and Gary Larson, and Leslie and Jim White. 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, sisters-in-law, Carole Warner and Donna Edwards.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the Fillmore 3rd Ward, 25 South 300 West, Fillmore. Viewing 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Services to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment at Fillmore City Cemetery under the direction of Rasmussen Mortuary.
