John Henry Kubota

John Henry Kubota, age 61, left this world peacefully with family by his side, on July 7th 2026. John was born on August 18 1964, to Janet Kubota, biological father John Bigler, and adopted and raised by Richard Kubota. As a child, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in school he excelled at wrestling and chess club. He graduated from Kearns High School in 1982. He developed a strong work ethic and went on to pursue a career as a union sheet metal foreman for 25+ years and then retired.

John married Debbie Grey, and had a daughter Rachel Kubota, they later divorced. John married Dana Cheney, they later divorced.

John then married and spent the rest of his life loving and cherishing, Jessie Kubota, and they had a Son Donnivan Kubota. John was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance, love, and a hearty laugh. He was also a father figure for so many more, including his nieces, Kirsten, Justice, and his great niece Jaylee. He cherished family gatherings, and his presence at holidays and celebrations brought warmth and joy to those around him. John was a pillar of strength and support for his family. John had 2 grandchildren, Hunter & Autumn Kubota.

John had many passions in life, including hunting, fishing, coaching, farming, chess, and anything outdoors which he enjoyed sharing with his family & friends. He was known for his unending strength, passion for working hard, and helping those who need it. He helped guide countless people through A.A. as a sponsor. He always lent a hand to anyone who asked.

John is survived by his mother, Janet Kubota; brother Kelly Kubota, (Janae); loving wife Jessie Kubota; his strong children Rachel and Donnivan (McKinnly) Kubota, his beloved grandchildren Hunter (Kylee) & Autumn Kubota. As well as countless other family & friends who will miss him dearly.

John was a devote Catholic, if anyone is wanting to attend the blessings of John's ashes, that will be on the 9th of August, at St. Judes Church in Ephraim at 11:30a.m. Mass will be held, ashes are blessed after. Please dress appropriately.

A celebration of life will be held on August 15th at the pavilion on top of Fairview mountains from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m., located at Fairview lakes. Friends and family are invited. Please come share your stories, get a bite to eat, let the kids play a game by the lake, and remember John the way he was, and celebrate his life with us.

You could hear the angels sing, the day he was once again in the loving embrace of those who preceded him, father Richard Kubota, his siblings, Clark, Tom, & Sceverenia Kubota. Rest in peace. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
