John Taylor

John Christian Taylor, 82 of Wales, Ut, passed away April 25, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. Born December 16 1941 to Louis Milton & Thelma Marie Hansen Taylor in Rock Springs, Wyoming. John married Eileen White in 1964, they had 2 sons John and Jim. They later divorced and John was remarried to Wendy Lynne Flitton April 14, 1990 in West Jordan, UT they were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple on April 11, 1998.

John proudly served his Country in the Utah Army National Guard for 41 years where he worked his way through the ranks to a CW4, Chief Warrant officer. Once he retired he served as security for the Utah National Guard for another 5 years. He then retired to a peaceful home in Wales Ut and he loved country life. John's love for nature and outdoors as a youngman started when working his way up to being an Eagle Scout with troop 1. He loved camping, hunting and especially fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and all the bonus kids who called him Uncle and Grandpa. John was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He shared the gospel as often as he could. He will be missed greatly. "If I don't see you soon, I will see you later."

John is survived by his wife Wendy Lynne Taylor; children, John D (Penny) Taylor, Jim (Lyndee) Taylor, Melissa (Scott) Hales, Clifton (Zach) Peck, Darin (Dawn) Peck; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Dale (Jo) Taylor, Carol (Robert) Rowley, Mike Taylor. Preceded in death by his parents; previous wife Eileen Taylor; siblings, Lou Jean Taylor, Barbara Taylor, Lucille Faye Taylor, granddaughter Missy Peck.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanpitch Ward Chapel, Wales, UT. Viewings will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment in the Wales Town Cemetery.
