Judy Madsen, 76 of Ephraim, UT, passed away Wednesday evening February 22, 2023 at her home in Ephraim. Judy was born on July 14, 1946 in Seattle Washington to Frank E. And Lila Shomaker Gulbransen. She Married the love of her life, Steven Ray Madsen on September 12, 1964. Steve preceded her in death on September 16, 2016. She missed him dearly and is now finally reunited with him and her beloved parents.
Judy and Steve loved to travel, they went on many adventures together, She was an avid cross-stitcher and made hundreds of beautiful pictures. Her pets were her whole world, she loved them, dearly. Judy worked for many years at Ben Franklin in Ephraim. She enjoyed her friendships with her co-workers and the many people she met there. She later worked for Wal-mart until she was able to retire. She made many friends there also and was able to continue some of those precious friendships for many years.
Judy is survived by her three children, Kimberly (Neil) Sorensen, Stacie (Lon) Crouch, Cory Madsen. She also survived by two siblings Erling (Dorothy) Gulbransen and Darleen Carstensen and one step-sister Joyce Alder. Judy had eight grandchildren Ashley (Justin) Schow, Aaron (Shaelie) Sorensen, Amanda (Scott) Moser, Kestlee (Jordan) Baldwin, Brinley (Ethan) Gibby, Taeber Crouch, Aubrie Madsen, and Caleb Madsen; four great-grandchildren Seth, Kaity, Savannah, Bentley and many nieces and nephews. Judy is also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Dennis Carstensen and Lyle Alder.
Our family would like to give a special Thank you to Roy and Katherine Crouch and Phil and Vicki Murray for all of the help and support they gave to our mom over the years and to Wendy Cheney for her unconditional friendship. Judy loved you all so much!
Judy’s wish was to be cremated. Her and Steven will be interred together in the Spring City Cemetery at a later date.
A Celebration of life will be held March 4, 2023 at the Ephraim Stake Center (400 E. Center Street) from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com
