Kendall Strate

Our amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Kendall Strate passed away peacefully at home July 26, 2019. Kendall was born Sept. 11, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant to Garwood Strate and Lucile Irving. He was the oldest of 3 boys. From an early age, Kendall had a great love of horses and the outdoors. He loved riding horses, hunting, camping, fishing and anything to do with the mountains, desert or livestock. Kendall had many physical challenges in his life. In 2006 he suffered a stroke that limited his physical ability, but he never complained and he always had a positive attitude. He was an auto mechanic and a sheepherder. People who knew him loved him for his sense of humor and his kind heart. Kendall leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Kris. His children Chuck, Amanda, Robert and Jason. Brothers Clint and Merrill. 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Special step-dad Tom Rees and special father-in-law Ross Terry. Special friends Jeff Allred and Leon Sidwell. Also many loved nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Sat. Aug. 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Fairview City Cemetery.
