Laura Roene Russon

Our loving mother, grandma, sister and friend, Laura Roene Russon passed away September 19, 2025 in her home surrounded by family.

Roene was born in Ioka, Utah, on June 17, 1935 to John Reed Lemon and our Arvilla Timothy Lemon.

She loved growing up on the farm with her two sisters and three older brothers.

She has very fond memories that she loved to share with the family of her life on the farm.

She had a very loving relationship with all of them.

She graduated from Uintah High School.

As a sweet and beautiful young woman, she was swept off her feet when Wayne came to do some work in her family’s home.

Roene married Wayne Paul Russon in the Salt Lake Temple in November 1952. They had 60 beautiful years together.

They were blessed with 10 children. She was the most loving mother we could have asked for.

She devoted her life as a wife and mother, and grandmother, and we all have such beautiful memories of her devotion to each one of us.

Those memories have blessed us to all strive to be better parents.

Throughout her life, and even until her last days on the earth, family gatherings were always her greatest joy.

She served faithfully in all of her many church callings. She was always a faithful daughter of God and her prayers were a sacred part of her day.

She will be forever remembered for her kindness and love to everyone she knew.

Roene is survived by her children; Mike (Cori) Russon of Alpine, UT; Kristene (Mel) Curtis of Fairview,UT; Paulene (Lynn) Sitterud, Huntington UT; Clark (Vickie) Russon, Oregon; Alene (Steve) Litteral, Cookeville, Tennessee; Nathan (Christie) Russon, Hyrum, UT; Tim (Michelle) Russon, Brigham City, UT; Julene Russon, Fairview.UT; 57 Grandchildren and 44 Great grandchildren; her sister Geniel Goodrich, Sandy UT

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne Paul Russon, her precious babies, Brenda Lee and Laura Jean, her parents, John Reed and Arvilla Timothy Lemon; her brothers, Karl, Keith, and Boyd, her sister Vaye, and her sweet granddaughter, Stephanie Sitterud.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 27Th, at the Rock Church in Fairview (100 East, 100 North). Viewing will be held prior to the service, from 10:30am -11:30 am. Interment in the Fairview City Cemetery. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.comt
