Lavon Wheeler Nelson, born May 18, 1934 in Milburn Utah, returned to her loving Heavenly Father and the love of her life, on December 26, 2023
She had her long-awaited reunion with Dad that day, where we envision them in a long embrace and dancing amongst many friends and family. Before she left, she was able to spend time with most of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as they gathered for the holidays.
Lavon was a daughter to Issac Wilford Wheeler and Merinda Jenson Wheeler. A sister to Earl (Jean) Wheeler, Mont (Barbara) Wheeler, Georgia (Bryce) Jackson, Donna (Paul) Black and Clifford Wheeler. A sister-in-law to Bart (Barbara) Nelson. Daughter-in-law to James Rodney Nelson and Alice Christena Nelson. An Aunt to a lot of nieces and nephews and a friend to many.
She was a woman of many experiences working hard her whole life. She helped on her family farm in Milburn growing up. She helped run our family business, Snowland, and later worked for Fairview City. She served in many church callings including a mission to Tonga, a mission to Cove Fort and a mission in the Manti Temple baptistry.
Her biggest and probably most challenging job in life was raising six children. Allen (Karen) Nelson, Jeff (Annalisa) Nelson, Jody (Jay) Johnson, Jan (Wade) Anderson, Patrick Nelson, and Natalie (Kirk) Soelberg. Having been married to Jerry Ray Nelson, their posterity has grown to include 15 Grandchildren, and 17 Great Grandchildren.
A Funeral, in her honor, will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 11:00, with a viewing prior, beginning at 10:00. Services will be held at the Rock Church, 131 East 100 North, Fairview, Utah. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ray Nelson, parents, Issac Wilford, and Merinda Wheeler, sister Donna Black, grandson, Gary Allen Nelson as well as her father and mother In-law, Rodney James, and Alice Christena Nelson.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Beehive Homes in Spanish Fork for their excellent care and the love they have shown. Also, Renew Home Health Care, who helped us to the end.
