It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Kaye Frandsen, a devoted mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, and loyal friend. Lisa passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion, strength, and grace.
Lisa was born January 22nd, 1961 to the most loving, wonderful parents Samuel and Maxine Dye. She was the 5th and youngest daughter of 6 siblings. Lisa grew up in Moroni where she met her best friend Debbie and remained friends with her for 56 years. She married Wallace Frandsen and together they had 5 children, James, Ashley, Joni, Jana and Dayna. They later divorced. Lisa then moved to Mount Pleasant where she remained for the rest of her years. Lisa had a few different jobs throughout her life, but her most favorite and rewarding was being a mother to her 5 children and a grandma to 18 grandchildren. Her kids and grandchildren were everything to her and she always worried about them and always had to send a text or a phone call just to ease her mind.
She also enjoyed her sisters’ trips where they went shopping, ate good food and spent the night laughing and sharing stories and memories. She loved and cherished her relationship with her siblings.
Lisa’s life was defined by her deep love for her family. She was a fiercely loving and protective mother who guided her children with patience, humor, and unwavering support. Her children were her pride and joy, and everything she did was with them in mind.
Known for her generous heart, Lisa had a unique ability to make others feel welcome, heard, and loved and her sense of humor was just a joy to be around. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met, whether through a thoughtful gesture, a listening ear, or a well-timed smile. Her quiet strength and resilience served as an anchor for those who knew her best. She never complained and always worried about everyone but herself.
Lisa had a love for life’s simple joys—music, singing, meaningful conversation, laughter shared with family, and moments of stillness in nature. She will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the dignity and grace with which she lived her life.
She is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren, who will carry her spirit with them always:
Lisa is survived by her children and grandchildren; James his children, Ashley, Kelton, Katelyn, and Bryson; Ashley & Taylor their children, Waylon, Skyler, Marcuan, Beau, Jordan, and Hayden; Joni & Bryson their children, Rayden, Brylee, and Jaylee; Jana & Mikey their children, Justice, Destiny, Breanna, Elise, Janessa, and Noah; Dayna & Josh their children, Haizlei, Novalei, and Irie.
