On September 11, 2025, our beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Lonnie James Brewer was reunited with his loving wife, who passed away just nine short months ago.

Lonnie was born on May 18, 1944, in Clear Creek, Utah, to Earl and Annie Brewer. He was the seventh of fourteen children, and he cared deeply for each of his siblings. From an early age, Lonnie learned the value of hard work and family values, values he carried throughout his life.

Lonnie had a lifelong love of sports. He participated in track and field, as well as football (which he especially loved) at North Sanpete High School, where he later graduated. It was during these years that he met his sweetheart, Patricia Ann Neilson. The two were married on March 14, 1964, and were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on May 15, 1965. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and devotion. They made their home in Spring City, Utah, where they raised their five children: Lesa (Garth) Edmunds, Christine (Allen) Schleidt, Scott (Suzanne) Brewer, Ryan (Melissa) Brewer, Karen Brewer.

Lonnie operated the only service station in Spring City for several years. Later, he began a long and fulfilling career with Utah Power & Light, where he worked until retirement. During his time there, he developed many cherished friendships that lasted throughout his life.

In addition to his career, Lonnie was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He had a love for outdoors, spending his time gardening, hunting, fishing and raising livestock. His connection to the land was as deep as his love for his family.

Lonnie was also a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many church callings over the years and especially treasured his time working in the temple. He was grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive ward.

One of his proudest accomplishments was his service in the Utah National Guard, from which he honorably retired. His commitment to serving his country was a source of great pride.

Lonnie is survived by his five children, seven siblings: Arthur, Dorothy, Judy, Grandon, Robert, Tammy, and Brinda; 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Trish, his parents and six siblings: John, Deeon, Veeon, Jack, and Monta Rae, and Vincent.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 18^th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Spring City LDS Rock Church, located at 164 S. Main Street. The funeral will be at the same location on Friday, September 19^th at 1:00 p.m. There will be viewing prior to the service from 11:00am – 12:30pm and interment will be at the Spring City Cemetery.
