Lynsi Wade was born on May 24th, 1974, in
Murray, Utah, to Clark Harper and Lynda Mower.
She passed away after a life filled with love, service, and numerous
talents on September 30th, 2025. She was united in marriage with Shane Wade on
September 4th, 1999, in Millcreek Canyon, Utah, and later sealed in the Manti
Temple on May 28th, 2005. Lynsi and
Shane’s relationship was one of deep focused love for one another, respect, and
fun. They enjoyed spending time outdoors
in the mountains camping, hiking, mountain biking together, traveling in “Missy
Mo-Ho Motorhome”, and just laughing together as a family. They supported one another in every aspect of
their lives and had a bond that was indescribable. Their marriage was truly one of the greatest
things to watch. Shane absolutely adored
her by putting her on the highest pedestal and ensuring she was his number one
priority.
A graduate of Brighton High School, Lynsi
earned an Associate's Degree in Business Management. Her professional life was
diverse, including roles as an administrative assistant at Snow College, a
billing agent at the Moran Eye Center, and a dorm parent at Wasatch
Academy. She also created and managed
the physical fitness classes for all elementary schools throughout North
Sanpete School District where she was loved by all of her students. She worked part time at the Great Basin
drive-in here in Mt. Pleasant where she grilled hamburgers and ran the
register. She also owned her own
Spinning class business, was a Doterra representative, and a very talented
craft maker, creating blankets and bears that she sold at craft shows. She also
worked at a nursery in Springville, Utah where she learned her love for flowers
and horticulture early in her marriage.
She helped her husband flip numerous homes throughout Central Utah
sacrificing so much to give her children more opportunities. She coordinated the SMART Defense class at
Snow College with Utah Celebrity Elizabeth Smart, to facilitate a safer campus
for both students and staff. She loved
the people she worked around and made working fun and light. She was the hardest worker oftentimes working
from home when she didn’t need to, making sure everything was perfect. Her loyalty to people was something to
witness, no matter what their role was.
Lynsi was a woman of extraordinary talents and
passions. She was a black belt silver medalist in Karate at the Summer Olympics
when she was 16. She also excelled as a
horticulturist, flower grower, home and work decorator, dancer, cook, hostess,
cyclist, mountain biker, and water skier.
She was a fantastic, powerful athlete that gave 100% effort in
everything she did. She was so talented
at decorating anything she touched.
Everyone would say “It just has Lynsi’s touch”. She really had a special talent of making
people feel important, special, and worthwhile.
She focused on seeing people for who they truly were and their full
potential.
She found joy in her flower and vegetable
gardens, camping, UTV/ATV riding, mountain biking, hiking, yoga, exercising,
softball, pickleball, and snowboarding. She also enjoyed reading
self-improvement books and finding inspiration for decoration, flower bouquet
making, cooking, and being the ultimate hostess. She was always striving to improve herself
physically, mentally, and spiritually in order to live life to the
fullest. An avid animal lover, Lynsi
would have rescued every animal on earth if she could. She volunteered numerous
times at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary near Kanab with her daughter
Mattea. She had numerous pets and
treated animals like they were human beings.
She always said “you can tell how good a person is by the way they treat
animals”.
Lynsi was a devoted loving mother to her four
children: Avery, Mattea Elsen (Logan), Hiatt, and Ashton. The most important thing in her life was her
children and their happiness. She
nurtured like no one else. Halloween
costumes, lemonade stands, staying up with sick kids, sport practices,
coaching, school projects, dropping and picking them up from school, attending
their events, school shopping, doctor’s appointments, cooking meals, PTA
volunteer, Hawks Booster Club, the list goes on and on. She was so proud of her children and made
every effort to love, support, and nurture unconditionally.
Lynsi was a truly selfless and giving
individual, always seeking the good in everyone she met and making others feel
valued. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh could light up any room. She
cultivated a flower garden with the sole intention of brightening someone's day
with a beautiful bouquet. She would seek
out people that needed upliftment by sometimes literally running down the road
to hand a bouquet of flowers to them to try and make their day, or bringing fresh
flower bouquets to work with her weekly and giving them to someone. Her inviting presence made you feel so
welcome and peaceful being around her that you didn’t want to leave her
sight.
She deeply loved and encouraged students at
Snow College, supervising student workers on campus, and leaving a lasting
impression on many who still speak of her positive influence to this day. She
also served in the Stake Young Women’s Presidency where she served with
devotion and selfless service, and the ward Young Women’s.
Lynsi lived in Sandy, Salt Lake City,
Springville, and Mount Pleasant, Utah, leaving a legacy of kindness and joy in
every community she touched. She will be
deeply missed by those who came in contact with her leaving a legacy that will
live on in her family and the community she belonged to. Her circle of influence rippled everywhere in
the community, and her presence will continue to resonate everywhere she had
influence.
