Marilyn Joan Wallis

July 10,1937 – June 6, 2018

Marilyn JoAn Wallis was born on July 10, 1937 in Pratt Kansas, to Avis M. Keller and Walter F. Wallis. She returned to heaven on June 6, 2018 in Fairview, Utah.
Marilyn lived in Kansas for only a short time until the family moved to California. It was there, when she was just 18 months old, that she welcomed home her baby brother, Thomas (Tom).
Marilyn and Tom would often times spend summers with their grandparents along with several other cousins. Many stories have been shared about those times and her close relationships with other cousins would last throughout the years.
Throughout her life Marilyn was always trying to learn and grow. Marilyn was on the track and Volleyball team and the president of her class at George Washington High School. She was always receiving awards for achievements in all areas from attendance to honor roll. She was dedicated and hard working.
Marilyn got a job working at Rockwell International. She loved that job and, as with most things, she excelled. She worked there until retiring in 1992 upon which time she retired to Fairview at the young age of 55. She had purchased a little house there which is where she lived her remaining days.
Marilyn is survived by her stepmother, Connie Wallis of West Valley, UT and her nephews and nieces, Steve Wallis (Pam) Riverton, UT., Darinda Wallis, Ogden UT., Jeff Wallis (Julie) Riverton, UT., Julie Christopherson (Tim) Meridian, ID., Tim Wallis (Lori) Pocatello, ID., and Chris Wallis (Heidi) Arvada, CO. and many great nephews and nieces and even great, greats along with her loved cousins and extended other family and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and many other numerous and much loved family members and friends.
Marilyn loved her nieces and nephews as if they her own. She was a great friend to many and was often the first to offer help to anyone in need. She was loved deeply by so many and she will be forever missed. It’s not goodbye Auntie Marilyn, just see you later!!
