Michael Wayne Knott

February 9, 1941 — February 14, 2022

2/9/1941 ~ 2/14/2022

Michael was born 9 February 1941 in North Vancouver BC, to Albert Edward Knott and Betty Nicoll, the 3rd child of 7 siblings. He passed away on February 14, 2022, surrounded by family in Payson, Utah.
Mike grew up in Keremeos, BC and married Carlyn Pohl and they had three children, Allison, Shelley, and Kerri. He owned Knott’s Fruit Stand, which he built to be the largest fruit stand/produce store in Keremeos. He was well known and respected, serving in the local community and LDS church.
In 1983 he met and married his true love, Deborah St. Julien. She had four children of her own, Tom, Holly, Mindy, and Heather–a handful for sure, but he knew they had something special that would last forever, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20, 1983.
In his earlier life in Canada, Mike enjoyed caring for a small orchard while building his business and never lost his love of gardening, especially growing fruit trees. After moving to Utah, Mike worked for BYU in Food Services for 21 years.
Mike had a deep and abiding testimony of Jesus Christ which showed in his day-to-day life as he served others. He served faithfully in church callings, spending many years as a ward clerk in several different wards. Mike was very organized, dependable, and always on time. Whatever task was asked of him, he fulfilled it to the best of his ability and beyond. He always magnified his callings. He will be missed by his family and many others whose lives he blessed.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Betty Knott; and two grandchildren, Hunter Davis and Isaac Espinoza. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Deborah, his children: Allison Knott, Shelley (Derek) McDonald, and Kerri (Jeff) Wilson along with his step children: Tom (Deanna) Hansen, Holly (Gil) Peay, Mindy (DeVon) Averett, and Heather (Kelly) Warr. He is also survived by his 6 siblings: Frances (Mike), Darryl (Renee), E. Nicholas (Marnie), Anthony (Karen), Carol, Peter (Nancy). He is also lovingly survived by his 37 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 23, 2022, in the Temple Rim Ward Chapel (952 W 1580 S, Payson, UT) at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment in the Fairview City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
