Morrell J Swallow

Morrell J. Swallow passed away on January 3, 2024 surrounded by his two sons and loving family. Born in Fillmore, Utah, on February 19, 1968, to Carma and Garth Swallow.

Morrell's foremost love was for his family and friends, always eager to help and go out of his way for those he cared about. He actively engaged in various teams and groups, excelling in sports and academics, including football, basketball, Future Farmers of America, academic decathlon, and debate. Morrell served as the FFA president and was the Millard High School regional science sterling scholar representative. After graduating from Millard High School in 1986, he attended Snow College, where he met and married Chris McCoy (later divorced). They were blessed with two sons whom Morrell loved deeply. He was known for rarely missing a family event. He was a dedicated employee, and had a fulfilling career in the building supply industry for over 35 years. Morrell eagerly anticipated the fall harvest season at his family farm in Flowell, Utah, consistently taking time off work to assist. His caring nature extended to maintaining close connections with loved ones, reaching out on birthdays and other significant occasions.

Morrell is survived by his two sons, Cassidy (Jayme) and Dylan Swallow; three brothers, LaDell, Kelby, and Tilden; and four cherished grandchildren: Elizabeth, Christopher, Theodore, and Penelope. Preceded in death by his mother, Carma.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Flowell LDS Chapel, with visitation from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A visitation will also be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home (1007 W South Jordan Parkway, 84095). Interment in the Holden City Cemetery.
