Ramona “Mona” Thompson Christensen

3/10/1937 ~ 12/9/2021

Mona Christensen passed away at home December 9, 2021 at age 84. Mona was born on March 10, 1937 in Chester, Utah to Thurlin J. Thompson and Lucille Larsen Thompson. She was the 1^st of 10 siblings. Graduated from Moroni High School, 1955.  She married Keith Jay Christensen October 28, 1955 in the Manti Temple.

Mona grew up in Chester and moved to Moroni when she and Keith married.  They had a son, Michael and a daughter, Trina.  They later moved to Midvale, Utah and had another son, Chuck.

She worked in the medical field at Bryner Clinic, in SLC.  Starting in the medical records department and retiring as receptionist in the Pediatric department.

Mona loved road trips with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren and had a cutting-edge fashion sense that was unparalleled. She loved beautiful things and after her husband died, she honored his memory with outlandish grave decorations, the likes of which have never been seen before.

Mona is survived by her daughter Trina (John) Oneida, son Chuck Christensen, Daughter-in-law Eny Christensen, 9 grandchildren-Adam, Kristin, Kelly, Brittany, Danielle, Jake, Shelyn, Jordy and Charlie; 18 Great grandchildren and 3 Great Great grandchildren; siblings- Perry (Mae) Thompson, Elaine (Jeff) Cox, Dennis Thompson, Suelyn Allan (Jay Orr), Cindy (Jed) Mower, Kevin Thompson

Preceded in death by her husband Keith Jay Christensen, son Michael, Parents Thurlin and Lucille Thompson.  Siblings Blaine, Jim, and Bob Thompson.

A very sincere and grateful thanks to her CNS Hospice Nurse Janessa who took exceptional care of “Miss Mona”, Marina her aid and Jimmy her social worker.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 17^th at the Midvale East 1^st Ward Chapel at 11:00am with a viewing prior to service at 10:00-10:45am. Interment in the Chester Cemetery.
