Ruth Marie Larson

With deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Ruth Marie McGuire Larson on September 5, 2026, at the age of 69.

Marie was born on March 10, 1957, to Michael and Ruth McGuire and was part of a large, spirited family. She is survived by her siblings Ron (Teddie), Ralph (Linda), Maureen, and Marian. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Michael and Mel.

Marie was also preceded in death by her beloved partner, Frank Heuser. Together, Marie and Frank made their home in Spring City, Utah, where they enjoyed the quiet beauty of the outdoors from their back porch.

Marie’s proudest achievements and happiest days were spent with her four children: Danny Jr. (Angela), Lisa, Bobie, and Jonathan; her seven grandchildren: Jeanne (Keith), Ashton, William, Dominic, Dallas, Dakota and Matthew; and her three great-grandchildren.

She left her mark on everyone who knew her. Marie was an excellent cook who could create a beautiful meal for a large family, a gracious hostess, a curious puzzle solver, and a lover of the great outdoors. She was also tough as nails. Despite facing incredible health challenges, she never allowed them to slow her down. Marie was determined to survive and thrive, and she was a role model of strength, perseverance, and personal grit.

Marie will be remembered for her dedication to her family and the love she had for her community.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted by her children on Tuesday, September 15th. All family and friends are welcome to come share stories, photos, and memories as we honor Marie’s life and legacy. Join the family from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Lone Peak Park Pavilion, 10140 South 700 East. Light refreshments will be served.

A small ceremony will be held at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mount Pleasant on Wednesday, September 16th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
