10/6/2001 ~ 4/4/2023
Shane Christopher Mackley was born October 6, 2001 in Oxnard, California and passed away unexpectedly on April 4,2023 in Ogden,Utah. To know Shane was to love Shane! He was the most helpful, funny, and kindhearted young man who would help anyone in need. He lived life to the fullest and to the beat of his own drum. He was happy livin’ his best life. Shane’s laughter was contagious. He was a character and always had a smile on his face. Shane was a great cook and was the best helper in the kitchen from the time he was little.
Shane spent most of his younger life growing up in the small town of Wales and attended Moroni and Piute Elementary Schools. He went to North Sanpete Middle and High School. Shane then moved to Evanston, Wyoming where he completed his schooling and was very proud of that. He was an amazing mechanic and could fix just about anything. Shane started taking things apart at a young age just to see how they work. He would then try to put them back together again. When Shaners was little when things broke, he would alway say “I’m gonna fix it” he was an independent helpful soul. Shane was also very caring and would help anyone in need including shoving the elderly’s sidewalks in Wyoming or stacking wood for his grandparents.
Shane’s pride and joy was his dog, Sammy. You never saw one without the other. They were always camping, hiking, and fishing just finding one adventure after another. Now Sammy is lost without her best friend.
Shane is survived by his Mother Rachael (Eric) Richardson, Father Adam Mackley and siblings Cody, Katie, Bree,Tegan, Cadence, Miles, Emma, Eaton, Rolanne, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. We love you and miss you so very much.
He was a simple person and would have liked to have had his service the same. Graveside services will be held on Monday April 10th at 10am at the Venice Cemetery and will be laid to rest next to his grandma. A luncheon will follow at 1pm at the Church 7655 E. 1500 N. in Spring City. Please bring your stories, memories, and love for Shane to celebrate his life.
