Shelly Ann Vrieze

Shelly Ann Vrieze, 53 of Fairview Utah - Born December 21, 1969 in Salt Lake City, UT to David Lee Vrieze and Sandra Lee Bentley Vrieze. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and loved ones November 12, 2023 in Indianola, UT after a three year battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer.  
After falling in love with Sanpete county, she relocated and began working at the Skyline Grill at Skyline Mountain Resort where she met Warren. She had a passion for children and people, working at Head Start, and various other restaurants where she coined the nick-name 'Shelly from the deli". Twenty years after meeting the love of her life, they welcomed Callie with open arms into their lives. 
Shelly always made everyone feel welcome and taken care of.  To know her, was to love her.  She and Warren would offer a place to stay for the Possum Lodge Boys and Shelly always made sure they were fed and taken care of.  With her spunky personality and great attitude, her smile was contagious to many. Survived by her Partner, Warren Drewes, loving Grandmother to Callie Jo Bate and Collin Bate, and mother of Tyson Joe Bate, daughter of Sandra Jones, sister of Brandy (Dale) Wanlass and David (Crystal) Vrieze Jr. Preceded in death by her father, David Lee Vrieze and sister, Robin Job. Shelley will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W, Mount Pleasant, UT) with Visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. A celebration of Shelly's life will take place at a later date.
