Stewart D. Seely was born May 29,1948 in Standardville Utah to Lee Seely & Florence Mower Seely. He passed away at home on November 13, 2022 The first 12 years of his life was spent in Royal Utah. He then moved to Fairview Utah. He graduated in 1966 from North Sanpete High School. In 1968 he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego CA as a Hospital Corpsman.

On March 11, 1969 he married Sarah Carolyn Llewellyn in Fairview UT. They have lived in Washington DC where Stewart was born, Puerto Rico, Pensacola FL where Preston was born, Camp Pendleton CA where Justin was born & retiring in September 1988 in San Diego CA. After retiring from the Navy he continued to work as an X-ray technician for St Mark’s & Timpanogos Hospitals. They have resided in Payson Utah since 1990.

Stewart always enjoyed coming home to Fairview and taking the boys fishing on the mountain. Stewart was an avid reader and enjoyed reading anything from military history to westerns. He enjoyed raising a garden and loved to cook meals for his family, especially mutton. He had a deep love of his country that he instilled in his sons. He had a strong work ethic that was also taught to his boys and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Seely of Payson. 3 sons, Stewart(Erin), Preston(Summer) & Justin. 9 grandkids, 2 brother-in-laws Richard (Yog) Llewellyn & Gene Sharp. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother.

A viewing will be held on Saturday November 19, 2022 at 11:30 with services starting at 1:00 pm at the Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant UT. Burial will be in the Fairview City Cemetery.
