Suzanne C Simons

Suzanne Chapman Simons, born on July 22, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, UT, to Dern and Ethelyn Morley Chapman, peacefully departed this life on July 2, 2026,14 years to the day after her dad passed, joining her beloved family in eternal rest. She left just shy of her 79th birthday, reuniting with her cherished husband  and parents.

On December 14, 1966, Suzanne married her sweetheart, El Ray Simons, in Nevada. Together, they shared a profound love until his passing on June 20, 1974. Courageously, she raised their three young children before marrying “Frog” LaGrow in 1977, who supported her in parenting until their eventual separation.

Suzanne, affectionately known as Suzie, found joy in crocheting, solving word searches and dot-to-dots, and cherished delving into books and her family history.

Her legacy continues through her surviving children: Kelly Ray (Natalie) Simons; Kristene (Randy) Hansen; and Shane Dern (Jeanine) Simons. She is also remembered by her sister, Linda (Gary) Richards, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband El Ray, and sister Carolyn Lund.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation at 10:30 a.m. at the Moroni Stake Center (82 N Center). Suzanne will be laid to rest at the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
