Troy Howard Rowley passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born on March 15, 1964, in Murray, Utah, to Howard Darry Rowley and Rachelle Anderson Rowley, Troy spent most of his life in Salt Lake. He dedicated much of his working life to the auto body industry alongside his twin brother and lifelong best friend, Todd, at the family business, Rowley Towing & Auto Body. He also spent time driving semi trucks and later worked for Coca-Cola, a job he truly enjoyed.

In recent months, Troy found joy on the property he loved in Fairview, tinkering with projects, moving things around, and creating a place that brought him peace.

Troy will be remembered for his heart of gold his unforgettable sense of humor, and the countless nicknames he gave to the people and animals he loved. When Troy was truly happy, there was always a twinkle in his eye.

He is survived by his daughter, Shantell Nielsen; his son, Casey Rowley; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Finlay, Paxton Finlay, and Paige Rowley; his twin brother, Todd Rowley; his sister, Michelle Ford (husband Dave Ford); and his longtime love, Carol Evans, who remained faithfully by his side.

If you knew Troy, chances are you had a nickname. It was his way of making you feel loved. We will miss his laugh, his big heart, and the way he loved to rally his cars with the windows down and the music blasting so loud you had to feel it!

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A LIVING MEMORIAL

One of Troy's final wishes was to remain on the property he loved. To honor that wish, we will be creating a living memorial by planting a tree with his ashes using a Living Urn.

As the tree grows through the years, it will stand as a place where family and friends can gather, remember him, and celebrate a life that continues to leave its mark for generations.

If Troy gave you a nickname, we'd love for you to paint it on a rock. If he didn't, write a favorite memory, a message, or simply your name. These rocks will become part of the memorial, surrounding his tree and serving as a lasting reminder of the many lives he touched.

Come dressed comfortably, bring your favorite Troy story, and help us celebrate a life that was lived with laughter, loud music, and a heart big enough to leave every person with a nickname.
