Celebration Of Life: October 5th, 2024 @ 1pm-3pm at the Draper Farm (39.516327, -111.459112)

This is a Celebration Of Life. Please remember we are here to celebrate her time with us. Please bring with you the spirit of Gratitude, as that is one of the most powerful and uplifting energies we can spread amongst each other.

Whonda Yvette Seely Draper was an amazing woman. Yvette had married the love of her life, Dan Draper, at 19 years old and it was hard at first. Just like any marriage, it took some work, but as they started to believe in each other it got easier and easier, and they truly become partners and best friends. Yvette was a very devoted wife who worked along side Danny for 15 years. The physical labor was demanding, but she steamed through it, never giving up where a lot of men had. They were married for 33 years, and she was truly Danny’s partner, no matter what.

Yvette was the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back and the last dollar she owned. She cared for so many people and was thought of as a second mom to many, because every kid that walked through her door, she treated like one of her own. It did not matter what time you showed up to her house, she would open the doors with arms wide open and ask you “Do you want a cup of coffee?” She always had a pot of coffee on.

Yvette loved and cherished raising her children and playing with her grandkids, even after a hard day’s work. She loved being self-sufficient and also sharing her knowledge of herbs and animals with new people, and enjoyed meeting like-minded souls. She was passionate about farming, baking, cooking, bottling, collecting herbs, making tinctures, camping, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, because family meant so much to her.

Yvette brought 5 children into this world: Dexter (Carley), Tanya (Cody), Samantha (Scott), Danielle (Aaron), Heidi (Derek). And her 12 grandchildren. She is survived by her 5 children, her husband Danny, her mother Carol Seely, her siblings: Lynn (Jovona), Jannette (Rick), Gerry (Melissa) and Rhonda. She is now reunited with her father, William (Bill) Seely [deceased].

She was looked up to by so many, and her loving spirit made such an impact, she will definitely be missed by all who knew her.

If you would like to, please bring your favorite photo and memory of her. Dress casually, farm clothes, something comfy-not formal.
